DonateOOC Corner  Why Yuma is so special to me Like most fans of the YuGiOh series I was very hesitant and weary when I learned of the new series Zexal. I thought for sure that it wouldn't hold up to the older seasons of the show. However a friend of mine at the time had assured me that the show was amazing and that I should watch it, so I did and I fell inlove with it. It has a very sweet story line and the characters have such lovely relationships. At this point in my life I was hitting a rough patch, I had failed to graduate on time and was forced to repeat my senior year at another school and was dealing with a ton of other personal issues. I felt like giving up and throwing in the towel because I felt worthless and thought I would never amount to anything. That's when Yuma came in. I loved his character, I loved how he always got back up when he fell and never listened to anyone who told him "You can't do this" or "You'll never do that". He kept pushing forward and learning to be not only a strong duelist but a strong person. And no matter who he met along the way, he always grabbed them, picked them up and said "You can do this too". I admired that. I wanted to be that way too. So before school, every morning I told myself "You can do this. You can high five the sky." And I did. I finally graduated my senior year at school and I did it with straight A's and made the honor role, something I had never done before. I owe a lot to Yuma because he taught me to never give up and never surrender. That even if people say "You can't" you totally can. He helped inspire me and give me the pick me up I needed at the time so he will always have a special place in my heart and will always be one of my favorite anime characters.
